Sean Lee is OpenDrives’ current Chief Executive Officer at OpenDrives, Inc., leading the company vision, strategy, culture, and growth. With his service-oriented leadership style, Sean is all about empowering team members and customers to be of service to each other and to themselves. His philosophy is simple: OpenDrives must demonstrate empathy, curiosity, and focus. It is only through an honest desire to understand and help our customers that we will be able to fulfill our mission: solve our customers’ data problems and media workflow challenges with simple, highly performant, flexible, and honest solutions. Their success is our success.

Sean’s impressive technologist background is already paving the road for the company’s  successful growth and evolution from Hollywood’s leading storage workflow solutions provider to global provider of data storage solutions + data accessibility, management, and protection services—all driven by our software-defined Atlas platform.

As a veteran technology leader hailing from the media and entertainment industry, Sean has over 20 years of experience in software, storage, and workflow solutions. He launched his career at NBCUniversal, then served as Director of Technology at AV Squad, Chief Technology Officer at Siren Studios, and Director of Technology at Illumination Entertainment before joining OpenDrives in 2015. Even within OpenDrives he has led a storied career path—starting as head of engineering who designed, built, and managed tailored workflow solutions for Hollywood’s biggest powerhouses to an indispensable leader who drove strategy, product, marketing, and operations.
