Atlas 2.8 comes available with two bundles: Atlas Essentials and Atlas Comprehensive.

Atlas Essentials is our most scaled-down bundle designed with smaller creative teams, remote locations, and specialty workflows in mind. These groups need speed and accessibility just like their enterprise counterparts, but without the added costs that come with capabilities designed for enterprise workflows. And, when they’re ready to grow, Atlas Essentials becomes a great jumping off point to more robust feature sets. We’ve even created a new scalable hardware architecture, specifically designed to bring out the full performance of Atlas Essentials, all available through select M&E-focused systems integrator partners.

Atlas Comprehensive is our flagship bundle designed for enterprises dealing with resource-intensive workflows. These organizations can be highly distributed both in the location of their content as well as the geographic distribution of their creatives, so enterprise features and capabilities are an absolute must. To tap into the full spectrum of enterprise capabilities, you can select from several Ultra hardware options and—in the near future—a variety of fully certified third-party hardware options.

Licensing

Our new licensing model makes it convenient to acquire Atlas 2.8 either on an annual basis or with attractive multi-year contracts. We can help you find the model that works best for your budget. All Atlas bundles are priced on a per-controller basis (except in High Availability configurations where we do not require an additional license for the standby controller).

Unlimited Capacity

Another way we’re trying to disrupt the storage industry is to eliminate “gotcha” pricing when you want to expand your capacity. We find that upcharging for software when you simply need to accommodate more content is unnecessary. Beginning with Atlas 2.8, all bundles come with unlimited capacity per controller, meaning you can add another 500 TB or even 2 PB without additional software fees, up to the capacity limits of your storage hardware. As your workload continues to grow, Atlas’ unlimited capacity brings you the peace of mind that comes with predictability.
