Press Release

Los Angeles, CA – April 29, 2025 – OpenDrives, Inc., a leading provider of software-defined data storage and data services solutions, is proud to announce that its Atlas software-defined storage platform earned three industry awards this month, two of which were presented at the 2025 NAB Show. The honors reflect OpenDrives’ continued leadership in high-performance, cost-predictable, and reliable data storage for media and entertainment and enterprise workflows.
The awards include:
NAB Product of the Year Award in Cloud Computing & Storage Category. This official program recognizes the most promising products and technologies showcased by exhibitors at the NAB Show. This is the fourth consecutive year that OpenDrives has won this prestigious award for helping to shape the future of content creation and distribution.
Best of Show Award presented by TV Tech. This award is evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts based on innovation, feature set, value, and performance in serving the industry.
CRN 2025 Storage 100 – Software-Defined Storage. The CRN Storage 100 recognizes vendors that are driving innovation, delivering cutting-edge technology, and supporting strategic partnerships. This is the third consecutive year that OpenDrives has won this award, which celebrates vendors bringing software capabilities, services, and cloud connectivity to storage technology.
The recognition follows the latest release of OpenDrives’ flagship Atlas data storage and management platform, which features a new, composable software model built to control scale-up costs and promise always-on performance for demanding, high-bandwidth, low-latency, unstructured workflows. This release continues OpenDrives’ unlimited capacity model, which enables customers to grow their capacity without additional software fees to manage new capacity (a first in the industry). With its next-generation Atlas Performance Engine and two pre-packaged software bundles; Atlas Professional and Atlas Comprehensive, OpenDrives’ Atlas delivers enterprise-class storage management capabilities and performance without the traditional complexity or cost unpredictability associated with legacy storage solutions.
“We’re honored to be recognized by our peers in the industry,” said Sean Lee, CEO at OpenDrives. “This latest version of Atlas reflects everything we’ve learned our customers need and want from their storage system: flexibility, simplicity, interoperability, predictable pricing, and reliable performance, no matter the size of the team or the scale of the workflow. We will continue to improve and refine Atlas as the needs of our customers evolve and grow. Atlas is certainly not going anywhere anytime soon. It’s just going to get better and better.”
